Chesters Roman Fort

For our final local history field trip we took a trip to Chesters Roman Fort. We became archaeologists for the day and looked at primary and secondary sources to discover more about the Romans. We used the facts and information we found in the museum but also made our own deductions based on our understanding of modern day items. We explored the ruins and found evidence of underfloor heating, pipes and drains, and even had a go at sleeping in the barracks. It was a brilliant day out and we learned lots!
