Fire in the forest

This week at forest school we decided to light a fire and make some s'mores. The children were amazing at assessing the risk of working with fire and following our rules to make sure everyone was safe. We used 'flint and steal' to light the fire and, once it was going, toasted the perfect marshmallows. We squished the marshmallow between two chocolate digestives and boom - s'mores. They were absolutely delicious. Another fantastic day in the woods.
