We are currently recruiting for a part-time Teaching Assistant. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Work alongside Teacher to enable the smooth running of the department at GUST Independent School and to ensure that resources are managed effectively with the help of Teacher/Supervisor.
  •  Be flexible to cover different job roles in event of staff shortages.

  • Under direction from Teacher assist in the learning and achievement of all learners in the class/workshop, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.

  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.

  • Treat learners with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual trust and respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to your professional position.

  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers’, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of learners.

  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

  • To promote equality and diversity across the school.
